ESPN has notified MultiChoice that they intend to close all ESPN channels, ESPN and ESPN classic Television in Africa on the 31st July 2013. It is a shocking development and a truly sad one for ESPN fans but we still got Supersports to thrill the sport’s lover. This business decision by ESPN will affect channels in Africa, Europe and Middle East. This is a major business shift that I can’t seem to wrap my thoughts around but I am sure we would get to know ESPNs intents as the drama unfolds. MultiChoice has however assured its subscribers that we would be kept abreast of recent developments.
So sports fans or should I say ESPN fans, what do you think about this recent development?
