Driving high quality traffic is every business primary goal (online or
offline). As a business, it is more than necessary for people to know what you
do and that involves “Driving Traffic". Your niche notwithstanding,
traffic is vital to the success of your business.
Prospective customer’s needs to be aware of the products you are selling or
services you are rendering and if this fails to happen your business will be
take a nose dive south. In other words, if you must crush competition you
have to know the TIPTOPS OF TRAFFIC GENERATION.
The essence of driving traffic is not solely to showcase
your beautifully designed website or to show how articulate you are but to increase
revenue and build your business. And this is where conversions (traffic into
sales) come in. If you drive the world’s
highest traffic but make no sales, it becomes an “investment gone bad”.
Improving the effectiveness of your website helps
to convert traffic to sales and this can involve; website evaluation, visual
appeal, focal points, website readability, content quality etc. (I will touch
more on this in my next write up).
There are several ways to do this but my advice is whichever
method(s) you choose, be a master in it.
- There is the good old SEO (Search
Engine Optimization): I can simply put it has making your site "search
friendly" and more appealing to your viewers.This would involve the words on your site (content) and the way other sites link to yours online.
When the search engine always ranks your materials on the 1st page and
places you above your competition then I can say you have started
enjoying SEO success. But that does not mean conversion, now what
converts your traffic to sales is how you are able to "capture" the
heart of your readers.
- I call this one connecting it is simply linking to other
bloggers in your post. You can hardly go unnoticed when you do this.
And as a result of doing this, the blogger in question may link you in
his post or tweet about it. Now, even if none of this happens you will
be NOTICED and that's something.
- Apply paid advertising techniques e.g Banners ads, Solo ads, Text ads,
PPC, PPV, traffic media X, etc. This works if you know how to work it.

Great post, i try using mobile marketing it works, people are more on mobile than the computer this days, and websites and blog owners now developing mobile websites, its easy for someone to click a link from their bbm group, bbm or whatsapp and immediatly get redirected to the content, but it depends on how many contacts you have, imagine you having over a thousand plus bbm contact sharing your stuff with them and trust me people want to know who they are getting involve with in business even facebook wont give you such audience.
ReplyDeleteThanks Benjamin. The tip tops of traffic generation covered some traffic methods more info in the coming weeks and that includes mobile traffic. Well, mobile traffic is still an untapped source of traffic generation online (just like Google back in 2005). In fact it is a virgin territory. CTRs are much higher but have a large percent of accidental clicks etc. Yes, more people are browsing on their phones than they do computers, so it is sure to generate traffic. MT is still in its infancy there are 40% accidental click but gladly improvements are made regularly.
