There are a great deal of online gurus, veterans and geniuses that have one or two many things to say about succeeding online and while I truly see some views as invaluable secrets to success, there are some which can be likened to roller coaster rides or recycled ideas. 

You must know that the "Tips or keys" to succeeding online are ever evolving. No doubt, there are some basics that would int forever remain but changes erupt based on environment and kind of online business you venture into.

The purpose of this write-up is not to give an holistic view but a targeted view on how to unleash the most effective tips that have worked for several online millionaires ( including myself).

So lets get to it;

Taking the first step in virtually everything is usually the toughest some may say and when it comes to selecting a reliable investment opportunity its similar and you have to be in control.

•         Choose a Reliable Investment Opportunities

Control of what you might add?  Control of your “IN”. Do a vast and in-depth research, have an online go to mentor, be open to the opportunities but not silly enough to make the wrong move. I tell you, this is not easy and over 90% of people that venture into the online business fail here ( I made mistake here to, but you don't have too). There are several reasons for this; A. Too many shinny objects ( programs) with bad intentions for investors B. Inadequate information about these programs 3. Money being your source of motivation and not value etc...

•      Know thy environment 

Environment is usually not an issue online but it was for me initially. For example: There are some online payment processor that do not offer services to Nigeria e.g Paypal. There are all some online investment programs that are not open to operate in Nigeria.

This got to me initially but I had to GO GREEN in everything and see possibilities in impossibilities.

•           Understand the Internet mechanism.

      The internet business world just like the your physical businesses have mechanism and its imperative you have an understanding of how it works. It come with risks, several impromptu decisions, swift changes and massive cash push backs in other to build your business. 

      And to this I say, to everything there is structure, organized or unorganized. You must understand it and make the best out of it. 

        

•        If you don’t have it, look for master minds that have it!

      This for me is truly important, you need to have a family, an inner circle,  exemplary leaders with success business secrets that you master mind with. Having this kind of association at an early stage will really help avert a lot of regrettable business decision and financial losses. When I realized this secret and started master minding with my incredible inner circle, it turned everything around.

•              Package your brand

      As an online entrepreneur you are a brand and what do you do to a brand? You package it! As simple

      as that sounds it is quite some task to achieve. This will involve your personal strategies to building your business, setting up a blog or website, creating your mailing list, having an autoresponder like aweber etc.

     

•            The Engine House – Your marketing strategy. 

      There is no business that would survive without a marketing strategy, you must get the word out there! No business can recoup initial capital invested talk more of make profit without the presence of  a customer. And customer can only come when you market your brand.

       Oh, I have often come across people who want to be a apart of a business where they can earn big without without referring, this can be considered as a selfish act ( you know eat alone) and highly amateur.

S     So how do you want the business to grow if there are no persons involve and ready to invest?

      Marketing is the life line of the business and as seen above it is truly broad, you can go into various targeted types of marketing from campaigns to solo ads to blogs to social media, some of which I would talk about as we go on. 

•        Your social media power

      Its no news, the effect that social media has on this generation. If you want to get your message out there, it is the surest and fastest means to achieve it. But then again, you must possess the expertise to get leads and eventually convert those leads to SALES!!!

      Facebook, twitter, Skype, Whats-app, LinkedIn, Google, YouTube, Pin Interest, and Viber etc are the part of the several platforms you can use to build your business for free.

•                Monitor your investment

      You must not be allow yourself to be carried away by the activities without monitoring your business. It is essential, you get feedback, look at the progress report of your business each week etc. This would really help you make strong business decisions and swiftly build your business. 

         

•                This is your foundation - Core Values

      When the chips are down, this is really what keeps you going. If you must loose anything don't loose your focus, your persistence, your commitment to success and hard work. It worked and keeps working for me. You should have core values; what makes you who you are, what keeps you going!

I      I don't think much of a man who is not wiser today than he was yesterday, paraphrasing a wise quote by Abraham Lincoln. You can't stop learning because life in itself is a school having test without notice, so if you must succeed in life you must keep learning and be prepared.

      Like I always say, do not put all your eggs in one basket. You need to wisely spread your wings, this is will be enable you soar in the online world. 

•        Have a disaster recovery plan.

Okay, I shouldn't have mentioned this but its actually something you should know- a reality that happens sometimes. The online business would is filled with scam artists, short lived programs, get rich quick schemes and if you eventual fall into it ( usually happens at the early stages), what do you do? You can be able to bounce back up if you have a recovery plan, some sort of backup.
