than a month ago, Dr. Dre became the
first hip hop billionaire when Apple Inc. acquired Dr. Dre's Beat Electronics with a whopping $3bn
deal. Before the sale, Dr Dre's net worth was estimated to be $300m
but of course there was a dramatic turn the moment apple acquired Beats Electronics.
And
now a new billionaire is born, this individual has had a phenomenal career in
basketball, though he is retired from the game his legacy lives on and what a
way to crown it all. All he had to do was increase his stakes in the Charlotte Hornets from 80% to 89.5% and
boom he zoomed into the billionaire digits. He had since been a stake holder at
the hornets in 2006 and then a controlling owner in 2010. In case you may be
wondering who this is (even though my post title already says this), it is
Michael Jordan.
Michael has once again proven that you can
be out of the game but top the game. It all depends on the kind of game
I’m
sharing this, to remind of the amazing potential you have within and the
billions of heart you can reach and impact with your wisdom and wealth
because at the end of the day, money is not all that matter.
